this baby boy and his mama and daddy are no strangers to this blog! you can see andrew from the beginning here, here, and here. and now he’s ONE! This year has flown by and its been so fun to see this baby turn into a little person! and look how stylish he is! check out those shoes! he wasn’t too sure about smiling at the big black box i held in from of my face, but he definitely hammed it up from time to time. He also loved JJ’s Buckeye hat, so we distracted him with that a few times. lol

i love love how he’s looking up at daddy here. so sweet.

this face. this is my favorite face that AC makes. i just can’t get enough!
once babies are mobile, this is the story of my life… they’re on the move constantly, never wanting to sit still.

and i just love this. this is how most baby photo session end. they run the show and let me know when they’ve had enough. i still think its adorable. real life. lol
you guys, i love love love you. you know that. xxJBZ
Andrew Chad | Dayton, OH
Andrew | 1 year | 03.29.13 | favorite things: his green monkey | 5 words: happy, easy-going, curious, loving, really-stinkin’-cute
best andrew moment so far:
As much as I would like to say “all of them” there are few things that I hope I can always remember no matter how old I get.
Most recently Andrew has learned how to sing “Barbara Ann” by The Beach Boys, he chimes in on the “ba ba bas” it’s pretty stinking cute.
Andrew also “sings” in church and enjoys waving his arms like the song leader on Sundays. That’s two things I guess, so sue me!
advice for new parents on surviving the first year:
Don’t take yourself too seriously. If you can’t laugh about the poop in the bathtub or the fact that you’ve changed someone’s outfit three times before 10am, it’s going to be a loooong ride!
favorite foods right now:
Besides his disliking for bananas, he really likes everything we give him. Most recently he was very, very excited to have Mac and cheese for the first time. A boy after his Momma’s own heart!
least favorite foods right now:
Bananas, a taste neither of his parents appreciate either. It’s unfortunate, because bananas are like the easiest “go to” kid food!
one baby item you couldnt live without:
I tried really hard not to be “that mom” who had every single baby gadget. The first six months
I couldn’t live without receiving blankets and his fisher price rock and play sleeper. The last six months, Andrew has been very attached
to a certain green monkey (from pier 1) we even had to buy extra so that we always have a clean one in the rotation.
biggest first year struggle:
The biggest struggle for us was around the Holidays when Andrew developed a “super virus” break out on his face.
After almost two weeks of seeing our pediatrician and being sent in and out of emergency rooms, Andrew was finally admitted to Dayton Children’s for a few days.
He was a trooper the whole time. It was very frustrating not having any answers for a while.
We still struggle with Andrew’s skin sensitivities, but we take the good with the bad and we are very thankful for our happy healthy babe.
proudest first year moment/accomplishment/etc:
I’m really proud that Brycen and I have created a stress-free and happy home environment.
I’d like to say that our positive attitudes contribute to our super happy and incredibly easy-going baby.
Andrew has had excellent sleep habits since he was 3 weeks old and he is more than content to sit and play or snuggle with just about anyone.
He’s been a really, really easy baby, like we tell all our friends, I’m sure we’ll get our pay back with the next one!
