Its still very surreal to me to even say the words “i’m pregnant”.. But all of a sudden time is flying by. As slow as the first trimester went, this second is going at warp speed. I find myself stressed and anxious and honestly sick to my stomach with worry a lot of the time. I’ve broken down crying to JJ more than a couple times. I’m trying hard to enjoy this time, but sometimes the stress and anxiety are getting to me so much that i feel like i could easily fall into a depression. Thank goodness for those couple poor souls who have had to listen to me vent and cry, JJ included. Other than that, physically i feel great. I’m still walking the dogs at least a mile a day but more often like 2 or 3. I’m still running, short distances and very slow. And i’m still doing yoga. The bump is finally growing and little miss swims around a bunch. Its the coolest, weirdest feeling ever. I first felt her give me a little poke right in the abdomen two days after we found out she was a she. Soft little flutters and pokes slowly became more pronounced movements and J was finally able to feel her from the outside about two weeks after i first felt her on the inside. Now its got me pretty much obsessed. I find myself sitting/laying w my hand on my belly a lot.

Here are my three favorite photos of little miss from our anatomy scan 4 weeks ago. She was much more eager to show us that she was indeed a female than to give us a good 3d image of her face.

i had another appt today with my doctor. Everything is perfect and healthy and normal according to him. My next appt in four weeks is my glucose test which i’m a little nervous about. Mostly because i want all the sugar all the time. I’ve always had a pretty severe sweet tooth. Nothing has changed there. lol

Below are some highlights of the last 4 weeks or so..

*birthday celebration/the day we told family “its a girl!”, also, 19weeks

*mandy and brad treated mom and i to a late birthday dinner celebration

*maria’s miles 3 mile race

*italian festival after the race. i ate all the foods

*our 3rd anniversary/mini photo shoot

*time for that awful border to come down in the guest room which will soon become my office

*down to mandy and nick’s to babysit Nolan

*21 weeks!

*ghost and goblin 5k

*#icanstillyoga

*i’ve always been a starbucks addict but one of my biggest cravings right now is their hot chocolate. yummm

*22 weeks!

*OSU 4 miler. My last race until probably May!

*real sugar and fake sugar. ALLLLLL the sugar!

*that bump was popping after my doctor appt while shopping for a few things at target. i LOVE target.

 

Little miss is swimming around right now so i need to take a break and go put my hand on my belly. I’ll try to do more regular updates on this crazy journey! thanks for stopping by!

I hope you all had a wonderful labor day weekend and are enjoying these last few weeks of summer. Personally, i am SO over this hot weather. I’m ready for cooler temps and boots and hoodies. so thats our summer in a nutshell! 😉 how awesome is that video?! i’ve been dying to share that! Of course we told our other younger siblings (i’m looking at you brad, linz, and kyle) but we weren’t able to see them in person to keep the format of the above video. we’ve been really excited to share the news and hope you enjoyed the video!

so, we’ll be postponing our labor day until february. 😉
