carrie+rob+macho max | columbus, OH family photography

Adorable Max and his sweet mom and dad are definitely not new to this blog. You’ve seen their sweet faces here and here. I love every time i get the email that its time to do another family photography session for this awesome family. I love getting to see them and seeing how Max is growing. I didn’t think it was possible for him to get any more adorable than the first time i met him but, he’s still rocking those curls and that heart melting smile. Speaking of hair, can we talk about mama Carrie’s amazing hair for this session? i love this cut on you, carrie!! Rob, you look great too, don’t wanna leave you out of the compliment train! columbus ohio baby photographycolumbus ohio family photographercolumbus ohio family photographycolumbus ohio baby photographycolumbus ohio family photographycolumbus ohio family photographycolumbus ohio fall family photographycolumbus ohio family photographerwhen max finally slows down, he is such a cuddle bug. i love this sweet image of him and his daddy. pacifier and all.columbus ohio baby photographycolumbus ohio family photographercolumbus ohio family photographer

carrie+rob+max | Columbus, OH

carrie | hometown: dayton, oh | preschool teacher at the Columbus Zoo | 5 words, described by rob: thoughtful, beautiful, night-owl, crafty, determined (to do everything)

rob | hometown: lake oswego, oregon | courier for Columbus Zoo | 5 words, described by carrie: patient, quiet, handsome, loyal, funny (he has an adorable voice he uses when reading to max)

Max | 18 months | 05.09.13 | 5 words: silly, smart, smiley, determined bossy (haha! his favorite thing to tell us is “you sit there” and “sit down”)

max’s favorite things:

books (especially 10 Little Ladybugs, Panda Bear Panda Bear What do you See, and Elephant and Piggy series), trains, planes, and trucks, farm set, Mega Blocks, crawl through tunnel and tent, and Fisher Price Laugh and Play School Bus

new habits, skills, tricks:

Saying and connecting lots of words, down to one nap – usually lasting about two hours, finally staying in the grocery cart longer (as long as you ply him with food),

identifies lots of body parts when he’s in the mood (loves to flash his belly around), can usually find the circle shape, climbing on everything, getting better at sharing (at school) – at home…he loves to say “mine”

favorite max moment:

seeing him love the beach and ocean…squishing the sand in his toes, and having so much fun doing lots of holiday things (pumpkin patches, hayrides, etc.)!

Adorable side note:  he calls pumpkins “bubbles” and it’s just about the cutest thing ever.

any new advice as max is getting older:

Don’t stress about where your child falls on the growth charts – as a good friend said, “everyone has to fall somewhere” – they are just numbers.

And, along those same lines – try not to worry about how much your child eats.  Some days I swear Max could get by on air and milk – other days he is really adventurous in what he will eat.

I try not to be a short order cook for him – he generally eats what we eat (or he doesn’t). I have to remind myself that he has a way smaller tummy than we do and snacks a lot during the day too. 🙂
