Meet katie and dave, these two are first timers here on the JBP blog. And boy oh boy, am i happy they’re here. When Katie contacted me about doing their maternity photography  i did a little happy dance. And then an even longer happy dance about doing photos of their newborn when he/she arrives. I LOVE getting to document this special time in peoples lives, not to mention, everyone knows i love the squishy sweet babies! But i’m getting ahead of myself, baby G is not here yet. I had so much fun with these two, and i knew i would. Katie is one of the most friendly, smiley people i’ve ever met. Here’s a fun fact, we’re actually sorority sisters! It was so awesome getting to see her again and seeing this part of her life. Is she not the absolute cutest little mama to be?

i love this one.. if you know katie, can’t you just hear her laughing here? so sweet.this is one of my faves.. i don’t really have a top fave because i love so many of them.. but this is definitely a top contender.

oh katie… you. are. stunning. this little forehead kiss was totally unprovoked.. dave is so sweet and loves katie so much. i loved watching them together. he’s gonna be a good daddy.another one of my favorites. ugh i love these two!

katie and dave, thank you guys so much for trusting me to capture these amazing times in your life. i can’t wait to see you guys again and snuggle that sweet babe when the time comes!! xxJBZ

how they met, as told by katie: We were in 5^th grade choir together =) We were friends all through high school…BUT we didn’t start dating until after college! We dated almost 10 years before getting married.

 pregnancy cravings: Fruit! Especially cold grapes, grapefruit & apples.

pregnancy challenges: I was sick into my third tri-mester, then learned I have Gestational Diabetes that I have to manage (which took away my beloved fruit & carbs) but it’s all part of the job and totally worth it!

most excited about:

Katie: I’m most excited about the opportunity to raise a happy child that is kind, loving, grateful and curious about our beautiful world.

I hope we can give our baby all that they need to grow up embracing the small pleasures in life, finding enjoyment & lessons in every interaction and who leaves a positive impact on everything & everyone that they encounter.

Dave: I’m most excited to embrace all the challenges and joys that come with being a parent. My goal is to offer the same love and support that our parents have shown to us over the years.

most nervous about: The balancing act or what we would call the “reorganization” of our life…giving enough attention to the baby, sweet Lucy (our puppy) and each other – oh, not to mention work, housework, and other commitments, like sleep =)
